Property Outlook
Despite a shift in people’s interest in moving to regional areas since COVID, Sydney house prices have remained strong. As at September 2021, the average selling price in Sydney has risen close to 19% since the start of the year with another 4% expected by the end of the year. Key regional NSW towns have shown similar increases with popular regions such as Byron Bay and Mudgee even outpacing Sydney’s growth, hitting 23%. This regional trend is expected to continue once COVID has settled down with the trend to working from home.
